Who is Paparonni?
After 6 years in the Navy, Ron decided to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning his own business. Without too much research, he settled on pizza since it is popular and he ate it all the time anyway. After much experimentation (and a lot of sampling), Ron and his mother Barbara were ready to open Pizza Etc. inside the old Bread Basket convenience store in Colbert, GA.
Opening on a Tuesday night (May 10th, 1994), they sold two pizzas (and were ecstatic). Over time, with a strong commitment to quality and customer service, business increased and employees were added. Eventually, Ron’s name was added to the business name.
In September ’99, the business was relocated to Danielsville (the county seat) and a dining room was added as well as a much larger kitchen and prep area.
Over the years, Ron has employed many young men and women and has enjoyed helping to prepare them for the future challenges of life. (It’s not just a job, it’s a way of life!)
In 2005, the name was changed to “Paparonni’s” to provide for future expansion opportunities as well to make good on a vow made years earlier.
A devoted family man, “Papa” Ron is happily married to Brenda and has nine little future pizza-makers (3 girls and 6 boys).
We appreciate your patronage and hope that your pizza is the best you’ve ever tasted!
